Debary is home to a wide range of cuisine and activities that locals love to indulge in. The cuisine ranges from Italian to seafood and even fusion. Plus, with so many exciting activities to partake in, it often feels like the fun never stops here. DeBary has something for everyone to enjoy so this new year, be sure to add visits to these places to your list of resolutions!


Caribbean Eatz

Caribbean Eatz is a local Caribbean restaurant. They serve items that bring the taste of the islands to Florida. With meals such as ox tail, jerk pork, fried fish, and “Mannish Wata.” These meals come straight from the islands of Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, and many more.


Spring-to-Spring Trail

This trail is a 26-mile long nature trail that allows you to explore the springs and lakes of Volusia County. This trail has been designed for walkers, runners, cyclists, and anyone with disabilities.

Not to mention this trail meets with 6 trailheads, these being:
• DeBary Hall Historical Site
• Gemini Spring Park
• Lake Monroe Park
• Lake Beresford Park
• Blue Spring State Park
• Grand Avenue in Glenwood

This trail allows you to explore and learn about many different areas that you may not have known about Volusia County.


River City Nature Park

If the Spring-to-Spring Trail doesn’t provide enough activities to fill your day with, the River City Nature Park sure will. This park is known for the many different sport activities that you can have here. Some of these activities being disc golf, golf, hiking, and many more. You would not be able to do everything in one day at this park.

This park is 100-acres of land, with many trails and pavilions to hike towards. This park should give you a full day’s worth of relaxing and/or exploring depending on what you would want to do.


Swamp House Riverfront Grill

Are you in the mood for some classic southern dining? This riverfront grill is exactly what you would be looking for. Swamp House brings you southern eat’s like gator tail, pork rinds, blue crab, and gumbo.

This restaurant overlooks the St. Johns River, giving you a beautiful and peaceful view. Imagine what it would be like to see a hawk swoop down into the river while you dine at the railing. Plus, on weekends there is live music. You can dance the weekend away at this local hidden gem.


DeBary Diner

This diner has been the DeBary hometown diner since 1996 and this much shows with the history you can see in their décor. While dining here you can learn all about the history and culture of DeBary. Not to mention their menu – it is full of American classics like cheeseburgers, French fries, New York strips, and many more. Who wouldn’t want to learn about their city while eating a homecooked meal?


Bill Keller Park

This park was created with sports on the mind. Visitors can come in and play on the many fields and courts that are available. This park has baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, and pickleball courts. On top of this, the park also has three pavilions, allowing guests to have a picnic while playing their favorite sport.
